Ancient Olive Soap: Traditional, Pure & Luxurious

For this week's " Bubble Blurb" we'd like to introduce you to one of our all-time favorite products. Most people have heard of olive oil soap, or at least know its supposed to be good. Allow us to introduce you to our version of this simple and timeless cleanser.

Our Ancient Olive soap is a castile soap, and is a time-honored beauty secret that has been passed down through many generations. Made from just three ingredients, this soap is not only a luxurious treat for your skin but also a testament to the power of simplicity in nature.

What Makes Olive Oil Soap so Special?

Ancient Olive is made from a simple yet powerful combination of olive oil, water, and lye. The olive oil used in this soap is carefully and ethically sourced, ensuring that only quality olive oil is used. This natural ingredient is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that get left behind during the soaping process and can benefit the skin. This bar of soap is aged for a minimum of 6 months, ensuring that any excess water has time to evaporate away which leaves a hard, long lasting bar (so long as you don't leave it in standing water).

Unlike commercial soaps that are filled with harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances, Ancient Olive is free from any artificial additives. This makes it suitable for all skin types, especially for sensitive or delicate skin. It's soft and gentle properties are perfect for those who suffer from irritated skin, carefully cleansing without stripping the skin of its natural barriers.

Its a humble, reliable bar of soap that needs very little specialty care in order to be best enjoyed. To avoid our natural soaps from getting soft, we recommend using a soap saver or draining soap dish to allow the soap to dry between uses. This is a best practice for all soap, but especially so for handmade natural varieties.

Using Olive Oil Soap is a Luxury

Using Ancient Olive soap is a sensory experience like no other. As you lather up, the creamy texture of this soap glides effortlessly over your skin, enveloping you in a delicate silky foam. Our olive soap is unscented, but castile soap has a distinct natural scent which to most smells just like a spa day.

It is a product that has been made and used for hundreds of years, trusted by entire communities to do everything from washing clothes, to bathing babies. The simplicity of this product is what gives it such and incredible allure for those who may have a need to avoid certain ingredients. Its no wonder that throughout the world, olive oil soap is known for its careful cleaning qualities.

Not only does Ancient Olive gently cleanse, but it also provides a moment of self-care and indulgence in your daily routine. The act of washing becomes a ritual, a time to pause, and a chance to reconnect with yourself. It is a small but meaningful way to prioritize your well-being and embrace the beauty of simplicity.

Ancient Olive Soap is a Nod to History

Ancient Olive Soap is more than just a bar of soap; it is a symbol of tradition and heritage. For centuries, people have relied on the natural goodness of olive oil to care for their skin. The time-honored techniques used to create this soap have been perfected over generations, ensuring that the tradition lives on.

By incorporating Ancient Olive Soap into your skincare routine, you are not only treating yourself to a luxurious experience but also honoring the wisdom of the past. You are embracing a simpler, more natural way of caring for your skin and reconnecting with the power of nature.

How We Use Castile Soap Today

Ancient Olive is one of those bars that we recommend to patrons who may be concerned of certain allergies, or is wary about lengthy lists of ingredients. For a product so simple, its one that fills us with great pride to create and share for all of you to enjoy. Finally, our only break with tradition (depending on who you ask, as Marseilles also does this with their castile soap) is the addition of French green clay in order to stabilize the color slightly, and add a little more slip to the lather. We think this addition aids in perfecting our olive oil soap's natural qualities, and we're sure you'll agree.

Thank you for reading this weeks Bubble Blurb. Tune in next week for insight into another one of our signature soaps!
